The "Georgia Boys" are featured on 2020 Stearman Fly-In Poster

GALESBURG,IL – The Georgia Boys are featured on the 2020 National Stearman Fly-In’s poster.

They are:

>> Jim Ratliff – buzz number 130 -- of Conyers, GA, who bases his airplane at Seven Lakes Airport (62GA).

 

>> Cal Tax – buzz number 897 –of Cumming, GA, who is based at Stoney Point Aerodrome (6GAD).

 

>> Harry Balance – buzz number14 – of Atlanta GA, who bases his Stearman at Peach State Airport (GA2).

The three men are “regulars” in Galesburg, which this year will be an on-line virtual event due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Flying time from their respective airports to Galesburg is approximately eight hours.

All three are retired pilots for Delta Airlines.

Aviation artist Frank H. Schaufler, Brockport, NY, created the 2020 poster. He drew his first Fly-In poster in 2001, and has produced them for 18 of the past 19 years.

Posters– they are $10 each -- are on sale at the Jet Air Inc. office at Galesburg Municipal Airport, and also are available from the Stearman Restorers Association.
