Successful 24th Annual National Stearman Foundation Golf Outing

With cool temperatures and brisk winds there were 18 teams that competed inthe 24 th Annual National Stearman Foundation Golf Outing on May 1 st at LakeBracken Country Club.

Preceding the 1:00 p.m.shotgun start, participants were enthusiastically greeted by an incredibleStearman flyover by Phillip Wolford in the Jet Air Stearman. He defied the oddsof 30 mph wind gusts
and filled the sky with smoke and noise. As the golfers arrived at each hole, they were met with an incredible display of “Hole Sponsor” signs from localbusinesses, individuals, and Stearman community
members.

At the completion of thetournament, an excellent buffet dinner of fried chicken and fried catfish wasserved. Prizes were awarded to the first and second place teams in threeflights with additional pin
events for both men and women. Door prizes were distributed including a varietyof Stearman memorabilia, a Stearman Flight and a 50/50 drawing.
