National Stearman Fly-In – Day 7
Larry Tobin’s 1927 Stearman C3B was the last of that series built in Lloyd Stearman’s Venice, CA, factory before the plant was relocated to Wichita, KS. It’s the oldest flyable Stearman in existence. Tobin, a retired airline pilot, painted the restored plane in the colors used by Mamer Air Transport, an early Spokane,WA-based airline.
