National Stearman Fly-In – Day 3

Under an overcast sky, a World War II-era Stearman taxis Wednesday morning (Sept. 3, 2008) to a runway at Galesburg, IL, Municipal Airport to take off for a short flight to Kewanee, IL, Municipal Airport for a lunch. This Stearman’s Coast Guard color scheme makes it a “rare bird” in the flock of World War II-era trainers attending the 37th National Stearman Fly-In.
