National Stearman Fly-In - Day 2
Rick and Paula Stratton, Cheyenne, WY, are regulars at the National Stearman Fly-In at Galesburg, IL, Municipal Airport. He arrived this year at noon Monday (Sept. 1, 2008). Stratton says he flies the plane while his wife drives their 'support vehicle' - the family car. Their Stearman, a 1942 Army Air Corps PT-27, now sports a big Pratt & Whitney R-985 engine and is painted red and blue with silver accents.
