National Stearman Fly-In – Day 4

The annual National Stearman Fly-In at Galesburg, IL, Municipal Airport is a week-long vacation for most participants. Sometimes it’s nice to take a break from flying, technical seminars, dinners and socializing. Rachel Aukes, Ankeny, IA, took time Thursday afternoon, Sept. 10, to read a book while relaxing in a hammock suspended between the landing gear of this Army Air Corps PT-17.
