National Stearman Fly-In – Day 3

Jewelry maker Jim Seip holds his “Eye of the Storm” necklace in his tent on the tarmac at Galesburg, IL, Municipal Airport. The piece features a total of one carat in diamonds surrounding a sapphire in the center of the piece. Seip says he likes to keep his hand-made pieces subtle. “I try to stay away from trinkets,” he says.
