National Stearman Fly-In – Day 3
Jim Seip, Concord, WI, designs and makes the unique aviation jewelry which his company, The Pilot’s Cross, has sold for “34 great years.” Seip, apprenticed to an old German gunsmith at age 14, started building his skills. He majored in forestry and fine arts in college, and decided making jewelry would be more rewarding than being a forest ranger, he explained Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 9, at the National Stearman Fly-In in Galesburg, IL.
